General Practitioners

A/Prof Jared Dart


Dr Jared Dart has a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Government, a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery, and a Doctor of Philosophy in eHealth and Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Besides his clinical activities he works as a management consultant to improve the health system, as well as running his own businesses. He is an adjunct Associate Professor at Bond University Faculty of Health Sciences and continues to supervise PhD students.

He has worked clinically in hospitals in medical, surgical, emergency, orthopaedic, paediatric, psychiatric, and intensive care settings as well as his current work in General Practice. He works in General Practice because he enjoys the challenge of dealing with patients of all ages with all manner of problems and being the first point of contact in the health system. He believes in empowering patients to manage their own health care, recognising that many of our unwanted health problems stem from unrecognised and poorly addressed mental health concerns. He also enjoys procedural work including managing skin cancer with minor surgery.

Dr Janet Brodie


Dr Brodie has worked in General Practice since 1995 and joined Fiveways Surgery in 2000. She graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree and also obtained her Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

She enjoys all aspects of general practice care and greatly values the therapeutic relationships she has developed with her patients over the years.

Dr Adeline Ng


Dr. Ng graduated from the University of Queensland in 1998 and completed most of her post-graduate training at the Mater Children’s Hospital (now the Queensland Children’s Hospital), with a term at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, Canada.

Dr Ng has worked as a General Practitioner since 2004, completing both her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of GP’s and Diploma Child Health through Westmead Hospital Sydney, in 2006 and then joined Fiveways Surgery in 2015.

She has special interests in Children’s and Women’s health, travel medicine and lifestyle management, and can speak Mandarin. In 2014, Dr Ng was admitted to the prestigious organisation of The International Association of HealthCare Professionals and was included in the Leading Physicians of the World journal.

When she is not assisting patients, she enjoys running, snowboarding, travelling and spending time with her friends and family members.

Dr Jang Cham


Dr Jang Cham has a Bachelor of Pharmacy, and Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery both from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Cham worked at Prince of Wales hospital in Sydney for several years prior to moving into General Practice, with extensive experience in emergency, intensive care and anaesthesia. He enjoys all facets of general medicine and minor procedures.

Jang is caring and down to earth and welcomes patients of all ages. He is available five days per week. When not at work he enjoys keeping active running, playing soccer and golf.

Dr Jenny Dowler


Born in England, Dr Dowler completed her Medical Degree at Cambridge University before undergoing her GP training rotation in the UK, where she specialised in Rheumatology, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Psychiatry.

Dr Dowler moved to Australia, initially working on the Sunshine Coast before moving to a mining town called Glenden where she was the only Doctor. This gave her great experience in treating a range of different medical conditions.

Dr Dowler has been working as a GP in Brisbane since 2012 and joined Fiveways Surgery in 2019. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice medicine but her particular interests are women’s and children’s health, sexual health and preventative medicine. Dr Dowler is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

She is married with two children, and in her spare time enjoy skiing, cycling, swimming, walking, and reading.

Dr Elizabeth Hay


Dr Hay has over 16 years experience as a GP working in both urban and rural practices. This was post graduating from the University of Queensland in 2003.
Dr Hay’s special interests include:
– Antenatal care and Paediatrics
– Skin cancer surgery
– Women’s health
– Family Medicine
– Migraines and Headaches
Outside of the Clinic Liz is also passionate about her family and friends, tennis, reading and travelling.
