Suzanne Marshall


Suzanne is a Registered Nurse who has worked at Fiveways Surgery since 2015. Suzanne graduated from Southern Cross University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Nursing degree and worked in Emergency Medicine and Orthopaedics at both the RBWH and The Wesley Hospital.

Suzanne enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a special interest in travel medicine, preventative health, and caring for people with complex health needs and is a member of the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA).

In her personal time, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children, enjoys coaching and managing her girl’s netball teams, and playing tennis. She loves traveling and spending time at the beach.

Jennifer Lang

RN, IPN, GradCert Nursing (Intensive Care), GradDip Midwifery MN (Primary Health Care Nursing), Dip Prof Prac Ldship CPMAAPM MAPNA

Jenny has been a registered nurse since 1998 and has experience and qualifications in a variety of settings including rural, military nursing, intensive care, midwifery and neonatal care, retrieval nursing and primary health care.

She has been working in general practice since 2010 and has completed a Master of Nursing (Primary Health Care Nursing) through the University of Queensland. She has since also turned her hand to Practice Management and completed her Diploma in Professional Practice Leadership through the University of New England (UNE) Partnerships in 2018.

Jenny enjoys working with patients of all ages and helping patients to achieve their optimum level of health and wellbeing and is a member of the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) and Australia Association of Practice Managers (AAPM). In her own time, Jenny enjoys time with her family.

Ruth Collie

RN, IPN, BNursing, BHlthSc, Assoc.Dip AppSc

Ruth graduated from nursing at Central Queensland University in 2016. Prior to nursing, Ruth’s career included work with residential and community aged care services, education, family services and as a Dementia Advisor with Ozcare (which continues today).

After completing her graduate year in Nursing at St Andrews Ipswich, Ruth moved into General Practice Nursing, first at Lakeside Medical, Springfield before joining Fiveways Surgery in 2019.

Ruth is an endorsed Immunisation Practice Nurse and enjoys the variety that General Practice nursing offers plus the ability to build long-term relationships with patients.

Katherine Desoe


Kate (our latest edition to the team) has a Bachelor of Nursing and a Masters in Counselling. She has worked in Cardiac and Coronary Care units at TPCH and The Wesley Hospital.

Kate is enthusiastic about preventative health, empowering patients to maintain health, and supporting people with complex health needs. Kate is a member of the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Outside of work Kate enjoys spending time outdoors and keeping active and training her therapy dog for her counselling clients.
